You can make a difference!
We are always looking for tutoring and non-tutoring volunteers - both are essential to the success of our literacy mission. Our primary need is English tutors. You don't need foreign language skills, a teaching certificate, or a college degree. You DO need the desire to help others.

I’m happy to be a part of someone’s learning experience and integration into American culture and the English language. It’s nice to know I’m able to help improve another person’s life in a small way.
I have learned so much about other cultures through tutoring. And the things I have learned about those cultures are not explained in a guide book or travel guide.

I would say without a doubt the most important thing that has benefited me has been the friendships I’ve made with other tutors.
